Peter Chinitor | Zazourian is een illustrator, grafisch ontwerper & fotograaf.

Zijn vakgebied omvat illustratie, grafisch ontwerp, cartografie, fotografie, beeldbewerking en typografie.

Gefascineerd door plekken. Allerlei soorten plekken. Sommige fictief, andere echt. Hoe deze plekken veranderd zijn doorheen de jaren. Hoe ze werden in kaart gebracht, gefotografeerd, getekend en geschilderd. Hoe ze gedefiniëerd zijn in het collectief geheugen. Hoe ze kunnen vergeleken, verzameld en ontworpen worden.

Geboren in Brussel en opgegroeid te Scheut,, een levendig lappendeken van industriële, residentiële, commerciële en rurale activiteit. Deze boeiende omgeving legde al snel, de kiem voor zijn eindeloze fascinatie voor ‘plekken. Na zijn afstuderen aan de Sint-Lukas Hogeschool voor Interieurarchitectuur Brussel studeerde hij Grafische Vormgeving & Fotografie aan de Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten Anderlecht.’

His field of expertise includes illustration, graphic design, cartography, photography, image editing and typography.

Fascinated by places. All kind of places. Some fictional, some real. How places have changed throughout the years. How they were mapped, photographed, painted or represented in the past. How we defined them in our (collective) memory. How they can be compared, recollected, reconstructed.

Born in Brussels and raised at Scheut, a neighbourhood of Anderlecht (Brussels). A lively urban and semi-industrial environment but that still had rural, pastoral places in 1971. Since then he moved 14 times, swapping between Brussels and the Brussels periphery. After graduating from Sint-Lukas Brussels University College of Interior architecture, he studied Graphic Design & Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts Anderlecht.
